Die heads are used in all strand pelletizing systems for extrusion of strand profiles. The Die Head PFS series has been specifically developed for applications in pharmaceutical and food processes. It is used downstream of single and dual screw extruders as well as after reactor vessels.
Unlike conventional extrusion in a water bath, the Strand Cooling Belt PFS does not require manual threading of the polymer strands. They are deposited directly on the conveyor belt and automatically conveyed to the strand pelletizer. The cooling is done by special air nozzles with high cooling capacity.
